The Apostle Peter writes an admonition and exhortation to the followers of Christ to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth is something that was particularly important for Peter. At the beginning of his first letter in the second chapter, he speaks about new Christians at first, being like infants, and that we should long for the spiritual milk that by it we may grow in our salvation experience.
